The Role

Our Manufacturing, Logistics, Energy & Utilities Consulting group is looking for a Senior Consulting Manager to join our journey.

We’re looking for Senior Consulting Managers who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. At the Senior Manager / Associate Director Level, this means overseeing advisory consulting engagements, being a trusted advisor to clients, establishing oneself as a thought leader in your field, solving complex problems, consultatively working with a client to achieve business goals, driving contributions to offerings and innovations, and serving as a people leader, guiding multiple teams as they work to transform a client and the world. Responsibilities

· Serve as a Senior Consulting Leader, bringing logistics expertise to the consulting practice and our clients, as we engineer modern businesses to improve everyday life

· Own and develop a book of business and actively engage in business development efforts, often owning quota for accounts, and ensuring profitable growth for the practice and for Cognizant

· Engage in key account expansion, sales leadership, and internal executive stakeholder partnering based upon an expert understanding of such things as emerging market trends, client business direction, client requirements, and the feasibility of transformation goals

· Establish/build strong & trusted relationships with client at CXOs & senior client stakeholders and drive client conversations as a trusted advisor

· Provide strategic guidance and solutions to clients in the road transportation industry, ensuring alignment with their business goals and objectives, by leveraging industry expertise

· Conduct detailed assessments of clients' current transportation operations, identifying areas for improvement and recommending best practices.

· Identify and recommend market opportunities, business growth initiatives, cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies for clients, leveraging data analytics and industry benchmarks.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and operations, to deliver process improvements and operational excellence.

· Define product / platform strategies and solutions focused on Transportation Planning and execution, including logistics planning, route optimization and fleet management.

· Partner with client leadership to manage the product vision and roadmap, adjusting to client’s priorities, and changing business needs.

· Define high level solutions, detailed features, and prioritize roadmaps that makes trade-offs between features and speed-to-launch with an objective to maximize business value realization

· Work with program management and Agile teams to align on priorities and releases, anticipate bottlenecks, and balance business needs against technical/resource constraints

· Manage, and escalate risks and concerns, communicate updates to clients and internal stakeholders on product roadmaps and ongoing development

· Lead business value creation from the development, and implementation of product / platform capabilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

· Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions, adjusting as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

· Manage client relationships, ensuring successful project delivery and high levels of client satisfaction.

· Support and develop a long-term vision for the practice; work with cross-functional teams to standardize consulting tools, methods, curricula, and career development requirements.

· Build and develop strong thought leadership across key topics / business trends in transportation & logistics industry

· Lead and mentor a team of highly dynamic & talented consultants, overall team’s consulting execution, performance progress, annual appraisals, periodic guidance for performance improvement with overall ownership for building successful career for reporting tree & overall team.

· Partner with recruitment to attract high caliber consulting talent and the creation of a strong talent pipeline

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience, with additional certifications preferred, but not mandatory
  • 15+ years of consulting experience with a focus on Transportation and Logistics.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Show proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Have a proven track record of delivering successful consulting projects.
  • Display a deep understanding of the automotive sector including market trends and challenges.
  • Be adept at using data analytics to drive decision-making and strategy development.
  • Hold a relevant certification such as PMP Six Sigma or equivalent.
  • Be capable of working effectively in a hybrid work model balancing remote and in-office responsibilities.
  • Show a commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with industry advancements.
  • Exhibit strong leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.

  • Ability to travel if needed for business requirements
