Psychiatric LPN PRN

Description

We are searching for a LPN for a position on our patient-centered Behavioral Health team, responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing and coordinating a treatment plan and achieving the goals of the department. You serve as a key position of the interdependent team and hold responsibility for achieving positive patient and departmental outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

· You will manage efficient flow of patients including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions

· You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions

· You will maintain and review patients' records including posting tests and examination results

· You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders

· You will respond to and refer incoming telephone calls (may include phone triage when needed)

· You will collect data through observation and communicates information to assist the RN and/or provider in patient assessment and care planning.

· You will contribute to the enhancement of group effectiveness by exchanging information, collaborating with other team members, and providing constructive feedback.

· You will help develop team cohesiveness by offering assistance to team members and aligns individual work efforts to meet work unit and organizational goals for service excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nursing

· Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State LPN license

· A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
