Job Summary and QualificationsDemonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in his/her department. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and provides care needed as described in the departmental policies and procedures.
- Provides health care services applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
- Performs Ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in the following area: OB/GYN, Abdomen, Neurosonology, Peripheral Vascular, and Echocardiograph. Demonstrates anatomy for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
- Exercises professional judgement in performance of services and maintains a demeanor that reflects a high standard of medical ethics.
- Recognizes conditions essential for the successful completion of procedures. Provides appropriate health care services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
What qualifications you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic training in an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology or approved school of Ultrasound or has received training and/or experience in the field of Ultrasound Imaging as judged adequate by Radiology Medical Staff and Department Manager.
- Registered or registry eligible for no more than twelve (12) months in one (1) of the following:
- A.R.R.T. or A.R.D.M.S
- Current CPR certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Demonstrates the ability of a conscientious and responsible individual that is pertinent to the sophistication of the job
