Behavioral Health Placement Coordinator

Shift: Rotating
Pay: $21.49 - $27.94 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Provides system level support to employees and care facilities both within and outside of UCHealth related to psychiatric placement services and coordination of urgent Behavioral Health services.
Responsibilities:
- Finds and secures psychiatric placements by coordinating with psychiatric placement facilities. Incorporate acuity levels, exclusionary criteria, and clinical aspects to these placements including substance abuse and mental health disorders.
- Manage emergent alerts and respond appropriately to these emergencies including handing off to clinicians or calling for a welfare check.
- Coordination of Support Sessions and providing resources. Staff receive calls, assess to determine level of safety utilizing a validated safety screening tool, and escalates as appropriate.
- Coordination of BH Evaluations for the UCHealth system with expansion to facilities outside of UCHealth. Understands and takes appropriate action related to priority levels and available providers.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
