Role: Oracle DBA Consultant

Location: Malvern , PA

Relevant Experience: 9+

Responsibilities:

· Lead the design and implementation of robust database solutions to support financial systems.

· Oversee the administration and security of Oracle databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance.

· Provide expertise in Exadata DB Administration to optimize database performance and scalability.

· Utilize Python and Shell scripting to automate database tasks and improve efficiency.

· Implement and manage Oracle Golden Gate for data replication and integration.

· Perform Oracle Performance Tuning to ensure optimal database performance.

· Administer Oracle DataGuard for high availability and disaster recovery solutions.

· Manage SQL databases and ensure their optimal performance and security.

· Oversee RAC and ASM configurations to enhance database reliability and performance.

· Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager for comprehensive database monitoring and management.

· Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in database administration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial applications and systems. Provide technical guidance and support to junior database administrators

Qualifications:

· Possess a strong background in Oracle Database Security administration.

· Demonstrate expertise in Exadata DB Administration.

· Proficient in Python and Shell scripting for database automation.

· Experienced in Oracle Golden Gate for data replication.

· Skilled in Oracle Performance Tuning techniques.

· Knowledgeable in Oracle DataGuard for high availability.

· Proficient in SQL and database management.

· Experienced in RAC and ASM configurations.

· Familiar with Oracle Enterprise Manager for database monitoring.

· Strong understanding of Unix operating systems.

· Experience in the Finance and Accounting domain.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 08/26/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $112,500/Year to $132,000/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
