Job Title: Facilities Technician 1
Pay Rate- $21-22/hour
The Facilities Technician 1 will be responsible for providing general maintenance support for the assigned buildings. This role ensures the facility remains safe, secure, and well-maintained by managing various systems and performing routine inspections and maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor the facility to ensure safety, security, and proper maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair power, HVAC, mechanical systems, and controls.
- Perform general and preventative maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, and vendor management.
- Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.
- Assist with moving office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
- Conduct daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly inspections of emergency lights, fire extinguishers, and safety eyewash stations.
- Perform general interior and exterior maintenance tasks such as plumbing, filter changes, painting, patching, fixture installation, and lighting.
- Ensure adherence to preventative maintenance schedules and safety procedures.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safety of work areas and equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with building-related equipment such as fire/life safety systems, HVAC, plumbing, critical power systems, security, and public address systems.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience required.
- Willingness to learn and become familiar with the equipment and maintenance procedures managed by the team.
