In this role you will identify and repair malfunctions, maintenance of equipment and facilities to provide maximum asset utilization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform basic machine repairs and preventative maintenance for production and facility equipment
- Create and complete work orders and enter data into CMMs
- Dismantle, move, install and align machinery and plant equipment
- Repair, adjust, disassemble, replace parts and reassemble machines, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment to proper operating equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair machine problems independently
- Liaise with machine/part suppliers and direct sub-trades
- Manufacture simple parts from sketches or samples; performs modifications as necessary including the selection of parts and materials
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair product machines
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work order to perform required maintenance and service
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
- · Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
- Detect fault operations, defective material and report those any unusual situations to the team leader
- Perform root cause analysis/troubleshooting/safety and problem-solving of quality errors
- Function as the key technical resource for multiple machining centers for CNC operations
- Education
- High school diploma or high school equivalency required
- License in a relevant trade preferred - (ELECTRICIAN TICKET)
- 5-10 years of manufacturing maintenance experience required
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in a metal working manufacturing environment preferred
