Winder

Our client, an industry leading manufacturer of a wide range of sizes and types of power transformers for electric utility and industrial applications, is seeking a Blaster to join their team. As a Blaster, you will be part of the production department supporting the overall production of the facility. The ideal candidate will be an independent worker, prior manufacturing experience and ability to work across various shifts. which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Washington, Pa

Pay Range: $23.20/hr

What’s the Job?

• A winder is responsible for constructing a coil through the use of winding specifications and engineering drawings.
• Make brazed connections, fabricate crossovers, install cooling ducts and burn leads with an induction heater or oxygen/acetylene torch.
• Setup, wind, and dismantle of coil setups (mandrels, wire, dcccelers, etc.), removal, up ending and proper storage of coils upon completion.
• Record cylinders, wire and coil check sheets as required 

What’s Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, hands and arms, feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb ladders; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
