Exciting opportunity to join the Avera Gregory Hospital Laboratory as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

 

Position Highlights

  • This position is eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment program which helps you  pay off your loans and save money.  Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principle balance faster.

Job Summary

  • The Medical Laboratory Technician is accountable for providing accurate and timely results to provide the best care for our patients.
  • The MLT must be able to provide various testing in the area of chemistry, hematology, coagulation, bacteriology, serology, and body fluids.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate's degree in MLT or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school required.
  • 6 months to 1 year experience preferred

Certification, Licensure, Registration

  • Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician from the NCA or ASCP required.

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:30pm, occas wknd/hol, call required; 48hrs/wks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

  • $22.00 - $31.75 per hour
