As a Sr. Technical Engineer – IGA at Meijer will act as the technical product owner and expert to develop and maintain Identity Governance services and procedures. This position will also be an active participant for strategic and tactical items related to IAM, ensuring a consistent and repeatable process in alignment with industry acceptable standards and requirements..
What You'll be Doing:
- Acts as the Technical Product owner and lead architect for Identity Governance platform
- Responsible for taking technical decisions, hands on with the tool and well versed with industry standards related to Identity management.
- Communicate, coordinate, and partner with various business partners related to Identity Management and Governance requirements, issues, new capabilities etc.
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders on identity governance best practices, processes and technologies.
- Design, develop, implement, and integrate Identity governance administration (IGA) tool with other systems
- Administer and manage digital identity and access across all systems, applications files and data
- Identity and suggest improvements for technical documentation and user training documents
- Investigate issues and problems in the environment and be accountable for Identity Governance Operations
- Proactively monitors, controls, and analyzes access patterns, user behavior, infrastructure performance and security events in events to mitigate risks related to Identity access management (IAM).
- Implements RBAC, Certification, Attestation, Audit Reports, Role standardization
- Leads or aids in locating the necessary tools and processes to identify troublesome trends.
- Ensures a stable environment for enterprise systems.
- Keeps aware of system problems that occur in corporate network, identifying and solving problems as rapidly as possible. Provides critical and essential services to locations enterprise-wide.
- Leads or assists in the implementation of test plans including functionality, integrity and stress testing.
- Leads and/or participates in various IT projects intended to continually improve the IT infrastructure such as evaluation of new software and hardware required to meet a business need or to make a process more cost effective.
- Reviews assigned service requests daily and follows up and provides status updates to end users
- Identifies frequently, opportunities for improving service efficiency and effectiveness.
- Attends seminars and other educational opportunities, seeks out insight and on-the-job training from other senior engineers and other internal and external resources.
- Acts as internal consultant to other ITS groups on applicable technologies.
- Performs activities in accordance with standards, guidelines and processes.
- Understands help desk policies/procedures and acts as a liaison to Help Desk staff.
- Establishes and maintains a high level of user trust and confidence in the group's knowledge of and concern for users' business needs.
- Mentors junior team members on same or other teams as appropriate.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications or other related discipline.
- 7+ years of related experience in IAM environments developing, implementing and supporting similar technologies and services.
- Strong institutional identity governance with ability to establish and implement various tools and practices
- Strong knowledge with Identity Governance tools like One Identity, SailPoint.
- Working knowledge with various connected systems like ServiceNow, On Prem AD, AD Connect, Azure Entra ID, Workday
- Experience with implementing predictable access model and behavior-based role provisioning
- Understanding of general Identity, Access Management, and IT Security principles
- Functional knowledge of Active Directory Users and Groups
- Basic SQL & PowerShell skills
- Excellent at problem solving and follow up
- Certifications related to One Identity, SailPoint, Microsoft Active Directory, SANS, CISSP are a plus
- Significant experience with small to large projects in a cross functional environment.
- Experience in multi-platform environments.
- A proven track record of project management capability for all sized projects, utilizing a project methodology through all lifecycle phases in accordance with established direction and standards.
- Strong technical and non-technical communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills to ensure credibility with various leaders and stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
