Job Summary and QualificationsWhat you will do in this role:
- You will perform general respiratory therapy to all ages in accordance with age specific criteria including incentive breathing devices, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, oxygen therapy and suctioning.
- You will perform and evaluate diagnostic studies to include bedside spirometry, pulmonary mechanics and blood gas analysis.
- You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient care team.
- You will have accountability for delivering quality respiratory services and for promoting a positive image of the department.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program required.
- Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the state of Texas is required.
- 1 year of experience is a hospital setting is preferred.
- Current BLS Certification is required.
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP are preferred.
