This opportunity is full-time during first shift.

Location: Knoxville, TN

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (may vary)

In this role, you will:

  • Provide day to day oversight of core lab operations
  • ensure adequate staffing and appropriate environmental conditions
  • Evaluates, develops, and implements laboratory procedures
  • Available to provide consultation (in person, telephone or email) to resolve technical problems
  • Defines, coordinates, and monitors quality assurance programs.
  • Communicates with the Sales and Customer Service team to identify and resolve client issues
  • Utilizes the LIS to report patient results accurately
  • Integral part of the budgeting process, identifying future needs in terms of staffing, equipment, and facilities. Submits appropriate documentation for procurement of such.
  • Identifies and implements best practices and efficiency improvements.
  • Performs related accountabilities.

All you need is:

  • Bachelor degree required in Medical Technology or Human Sciences from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years full-time progressive management experience in a high volume clinical diagnostics laboratory.
  • Prior supervisor experience managing several direct reports.  Knowledge of good laboratory practices and Regulatory requirements (CAP, CLIA, State of Tennessee, etc.)
  • State of Tennessee Medical Laboratory Supervisor-General license is required.
