Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs medical assistant functions in the Kidney department—vital signs, review of medications. Retrieving and recording labs, triage of patient phone calls and general assistance to clinic nurses and nurse coordinators. Assist transplant coordinators in pre-transplant evaluations: educational material and chart preparation, scheduling of studies, consults and follow-up visits, retrieval of studies, tracking of required updates, and organizing information and database assistance

What qualifications you will need:

  • BLS certified. 
  • MA Certification preferred. 
  • Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program preferred. 
  • One year experience in hospital or outpatient setting.
