Our client, a leader in the industrial manufacturing industry, is seeking a 1st Shift Assembler B to join their team. As a 1st Shift Assembler B, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting the Production and Assembly teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:
$21.00 – $30.00 per hour

What’s the Job?

  1. Perform diversified assembly and erection operations to assemble intricate or large and expensive apparatus, machines, or equipment to close tolerances and strict inspection requirements.
  2. Read and follow blueprints, job routers, specifications, and other instructions to build and assemble parts and/or sub-assemblies in an accurate and timely fashion.
  3. Prepare parts for assembly with manual equipment, hand, and power tools.
  4. Perform skilled fitting of parts, sub-assemblies, and related units, including aligning, adjusting, and required secondary machining.
  5. Operate manual lathe and milling equipment.

What’s Needed?

  1. High School Diploma or GED; 2+ years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Ability to read and understand blueprints and other manufacturing instructions.
  3. General knowledge of manual machine operation and familiarity with assembling techniques and basic mechanical principles.
  4. Familiarity with portable power tools and machine tools such as drill press, bandsaw, cut-off saw, grinder, and manual lathe/mill.
  5. Experience with overhead bridge cranes and rigging of large parts.
