Sodexo is seeking our Environmental Services Custodial Manager 2 for our client partners at Emory & Henry College in Emory, VA.  Our successful candidate will excel at inspiring our team and working hands on with them each day, recognizing good work when it happens and holding team buildings to keep the professional staff motivated. This position will be responsible sanitation, excellent customer focus and for driving up our customer satisfaction surveys with excellent response time and a high-level attention to detail.

Our Custodial Manager:

• Demonstrates willingness to perform at a high level in a team environment
• Assists with ensuring a safe working environment through campus for all employees
• Oversees and performs all trash and recycle removal on campus and designated off campus sites
• Operates vehicles with safe work practices and caution while efficiently transporting waste materials
• Ensures customer satisfaction in housekeeping services, waste removal, and campus event set-up and tear down.
• Trains and operates custodial equipment including but not limited to wet/dry vacuums, extractors, buffers, sprayers, auto scrubbers and electric carts 

 The ideal candidate for this position has:

• Prior Environmental Service and Custodial experience
• Strong, proven communication skills and the ability to prioritize service needs
• Successful team building skills coupled with an organized leadership style will drive positive results on a daily basis.

These teams also have responsibility for driving client satisfaction by providing stellar customer service via effective communication with all levels of campus staff, as well as follow-through with action items that impact both client and student  satisfaction. The successful candidate will: 

• Be responsible for driving client and student satisfaction survey scores upward
• Provide a clean and safe environment for students, visitors and staff 
• Lead teams and departmental projects and initiatives
• Effectively manage the Unit Operating System
• Support a diverse and inclusive workforce

• Have customer service or guest satisfaction experience in a healthcare or hospitality industry

• Have experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines
• Monitor compliance and reach project target dates of completion
• Are proficient with computers and other technology
• Are results and safety driven
