You contribute to our success. Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. We are looking for a dedicated Surgical Tech like you to be a part of our team.

What you will do in this role:

• Assembles supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
• Prepares sterile instrument table.
• Prepares patient skin for surgery in accordance with hospital standards.
• Maintains aseptic techniques and actively monitors situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.
• Positions patient according to type of surgery.
• Assists the surgical team in surgical procedures which may include passing instruments, sponges and sutures.
• Maintains work area.
• Gathers equipment for cleaning and sterilization.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

What you will need in this role:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a Surgical Scrub Tech Program
• 1 - 3 years of recent acute care OR Tech experience preferred.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS certification).
• Ortho & Neuro experience helpful

We are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center and a Level II NICU. We have a full-service Children’s Hospital. Services include outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology.
