OverviewAs an AVP, you will provide actuarial reinsurance pricing and dynamic portfolio optimization support for our clients and prospects. How you'll make an impactAccount Analysis & Support:Perform actuarial analysis to develop loss model for client business, estimate reinsurance pricing, and determine optimal reinsurance structures given client risk profile and underwriting strategyPresent analyses in clear terms appropriate to the audienceProvide value-added service to clients as neededMarket Research and DevelopmentAssist in market and line of business studies to qualify Gallagher Re as a thought leader in reinsurance and primary marketplaceWork closely with other analytical associates across Gallagher Re, including other actuaries, catastrophe modelers, rating agency advisory, ERM and capital markets associates Problem Solving:Able to apply advanced mathematical / actuarial concepts and techniquesSkilled in using Microsoft Excel and other softwareSkilled in R and PythonSeeks appropriate data needed for analysisConsiders issues in depth, not just superficiallyFinds effective, creative solutionsApplies high standard of quality controlSeeks assistance / support as appropriate Interpersonal & Communication Skills:Builds strong working relationships with brokers and clientsDemonstrates good listening skillsExhibits positive attitudeClearly explains technical concepts in appropriate detail About YouRequired:Bachelor’s degree; 3 years related experience.Desired:ACAS or FCASWork Traits:Demonstrates strong Communication skills; Analytical skills; Attention to detail; Financial acumen; Business acumen. #LI-BD1 Compensation and benefitsWe offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package.
