Our client, a leading transportation and logistics company, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join their team. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the Shipping and Receiving Team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.
 
Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: Union City, CA
Pay Rate: $18.00 MAX

SHIFT DETAILS:
Monday-Friday: 8a-4:30p and Saturday 6a-2:30p (5days per week required- Sundays +1 other day off per week)
Monday-Friday: 10 am - 6 pm and Saturday 6a-2:30p (5days per week required- Sundays +1 other day off per week)

What’s the Job?

  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.
  • Match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute orders to sales associates for processing.
  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped.
  • Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for both employee and customer traffic.
  • Complete work safely, adhering to all safety policies and procedures, and participate in inventory counts as needed.
What’s Needed?
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills for effective team collaboration and reporting.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory systems and data entry.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, due to fluctuating freight volumes.
  • Prior dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry, with a focus on logistics and order fulfillment.
  • Experience loading and unloading trailers, using equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts, and handling goods efficiently.
