Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a dedicated Material Movement Specialist to join their team on the night shift. As a Material Movement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the Logistics Department, supporting the Operations Team during night hours. The ideal candidate will possess excellent teamwork, problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.
What’s the Job?- Operate Forklift and Clamp Truck: Safely maintain and operate forklifts and clamp trucks, including performing pre-shift inspections.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels on production lines to ensure proper stocking and prevent downtime.
- Quality Control and Communication: Promptly communicate any quality control issues, equipment deficiencies, and safety concerns to supervisors.
- Shipping and Receiving: Efficiently pick up and stretch wrap finished goods pallets for staging and shipping, and handle incoming shipments.
- Waste Management: Assist in the baling of converting waste and maintain accurate records of parent rolls and waste.
- Experience: Prior experience operating a lift truck is preferred.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to consistently lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and follow directions.
- Problem-Solving: Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Attendance: Demonstrated consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Competitive Pay: Starting at $17.50/hour.
