The role of IT Internal Audit Manager provides independent assurance and advisory services focused on evaluating and enhancing IT governance, risk management, and internal controls within the organization. The main objective is to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements through rigorous review testing and recommendation of improvements to IT general controls, safeguarding organizational assets and promoting operational efficiency.
This role reports to the Head of Internal Audit and collaborates closely cross-functionally with managers and employees throughout the organization. Externally, this role will interact with external auditors and third-party service providers.
This is a Hybrid role that requires the incumbent to live within 200 miles of the Battle Creek, Michigan and to be on site 2 days a month. This job sometimes involves extended work schedules and time commitments and changing priorities. Incumbent must be able to deal with some stress and facilitate sound decision making. Occasional travel (up to 25%) to other corporate office location.
This incumbent must have the ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position. Must be able to use effective verbal and written communication skills on a daily basis. Must have the ability to work in conditions that include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules, and specific time constraints. Ability to lead, align, manage, resolve conflict, and work in an ever-changing environment.
HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Leads risk assessments to define audit scope, objectives, and testing methodologies for selected ITGC audit entities.
Conducts thorough review and testing to achieve timely and quality audit results, providing feedback for the development of assigned resources.
Develops recommendations to enhance the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
Presents audit findings to management and collaborating on action plans to mitigate identified risks.
Ensures prompt resolution of corrective actions assigned to Management.
Incorporates advancements in technology, auditing practices, data analysis, and risk management to continually enhance the audit process.
Provides support for testing Sarbanes-Oxley key financial controls when required.
Collaborates with business and technology leaders on strategic initiatives to deliver insights that accelerate initiatives and preempt potential risks.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, or a related field.
CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) designation or equivalent IT/Audit certifications.
Five or more years of experience in IT auditing or a related field, demonstrating progressive responsibility and expertise in IT general controls, risk management, and compliance.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Prior experience with SAP Implementation projects.
Monitoring of our GRC (Governance Risk Compliance) program compliance for our SAP environment is a key component of this work.
Master’s degree in information systems, business administration, or a related discipline.
Additional certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control), or CPA (Certified Public Accountant).
Experience with leading IT audit teams or managing audit projects.
Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO, NIST, ITIL) beyond basic familiarity.
