Perform the NDT operations for which qualified and interpret/evaluate results in terms of existing codes, standards, and specifications.
Complete associated NDT documentation for submission to regulatory agencies as governed by company and contract requirements.
Set up, calibrate, and operate digital radiographic and liquid penetrant equipment.
Knowledgeable on viewing/evaluating and archiving requirements for digital radiographic images.
Thorough familiarity with the scope and limitations of the method.
Understand practical theory.
Be aware of the need for and the limitations of reference standards.
Be familiar with the type and location of expected defects for the manufacturing process.
Maintain, adjust, and make minor repairs to NDT equipment as required.
Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Train and guide Level 1 and trainee personnel as assigned by Level 3.
Must be able to pass regularly scheduled subject exams.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation of technical data and quality procedures.
HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or in the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
A minimum of 32 hours classroom training for Penetrant and 80 hours for Digital Radiography.
Objective evidence or letters of verification of previous NDT work experience and levels of responsibility.
8-10 years of experience in related NDT methods, preferred.
Experience inspecting GTAW welds.
SAP experience a plus.
Leadership experience a plus.
