Who You Are:

What You Will Be Doing:

Handle all will call customer pickups and ensure paperwork is accurate
Coordinate routes by examining product dimensions and weight for each order. Ensure compliance with weight limits.
Identify and evaluate any special requirements for each load.
Determine the most efficient vehicle for the route completion.
Coordinate jobsite and truckload deliveries with external customers.
Communicate with internal customers (CSRs, Project Managers, Sales, and Production Managers) regarding shipments and deliveries.
Assign the appropriate qualified driver to operate the equipment.
Provide support to team of drivers.
Load and drive trucks as needed.
Special projects as assigned by the Transportation Manager
Any other duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager

 
Skills You Bring:

HS Diploma/GED required
Proficient computer and e-mail skills
General Knowledge of NC, SC, VA, MD and DC geographical area routing
CDL Class A required or willing to obtain it
Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customers
Ability to operate moffett and forklifts
Organizational and time management skills
Ability up to 75lbs
Ability to use a tape measure and, accurately measure glass
