Assembly Machine Operator

Position Summary This position is full-time, 7a-7p Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday.Hourly Rate: $18.00 with quarterly bonus up to 7%SummaryUnder regular supervision of the Assembly Production Supervisor, performs start up activities and operates assembly machine by following established procedures. Ensures that the correct quality and quantity of parts are made in accordance with the production schedule.Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Starts specifically assigned machines.
Monitors automated assembly equipment.
Maintains continuous production flow of components.
Performs changeovers to machines as required.
Stops process for corrective action by performing limited adjustments and minor repairs when necessary.
Responsible for proper packaging quantities, materials and making labels and maintaining a neat work area.
Participates in quality and efficiency processes, making sure the necessary requirements are met, such as seeking corrective actions, informing supervisor of difficulties and presenting and attempting solutions.

Ability to actively participate in-group problem solving activities.Mathematical SkillsAbility to correctly perform calculations using basic mathematical skills.Reasoning AbilityAbility to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems normally encountered in the manufacturing environment.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
