Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for creating models, CNC programs, and designing fixtures for parts based on customer-supplied blueprints. Additionally, the role involves maintaining and updating detailed setup and work instructions for machine shop applications.Responsibilities
Follow a job from initial receipt through the entire manufacturing process.
Design fixtures for parts and program machines to produce these parts.
Create, maintain, and update detailed setup and work instructions for machine shop applications.
Develop models and CNC programs using software such as Mastercam and Solidworks.
Design and maintain company-developed drawings.

Essential Skills
Proficiency in Mastercam and Solidworks.
Experience in fixture design and CNC programming.
At least 5 years of experience in Solidworks and Mastercam.
Associate's degree.
Thorough knowledge of modern machine shop practices.
Ability to optimize CNC programs to meet estimated times.
Strong communication skills and team mentality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience programming machines in a metal fabrication environment.
Experience with CNC mills, lathes, and lathe machines.
Flexibility with other programming software, though training time may be required.

Work EnvironmentThis is a full-service contract manufacturing environment specializing in precision metal parts for various applications, primarily in the defense space. The company is AS9100 certified Working hours are from 7 am to 3:30 pm with a business casual dress code. The facility is a very clean machine shop compared to others in the area.
