Responsibilities:
Program, set-up and operate all CNC equipment
Set-up and operate all Tool Room equipment
Work within tolerances of .0005 or less
Complete all necessary documentation
Enter data in computer
Complete all heat treating operations as required from work instructions
Perform all necessary tasks that are required in mold manufacturing, including stamping and polishing
These positions will encompass multiple tasks but will not conflict with other classifications performing similar functions.Qualifications:
Ability to read, interpret and work to blue prints, written specifications, shop orders, sketches and verbal instructions
Ability to grind cutting tools
Strong math skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
Be able to demonstrate strong self-discipline and the ability to work independently
Basic computer skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to be instrumental and proactive in the development of Lean Manufacturing process theories and practices
Qualifications for progression from Master Machinist I (Labor Grade 10) - Master Machinist IV (Labor Grade 13) are:
LG10 - 4 college credit course for machining
LG11 - 4 college credit course for machining plus 1 year experience as Master Machinist I (LG10)
LG12 - 4 college credit course for machining plus 2 years experience as Master Machinist II (LG 11)
LG13 - 4 college credit course for machining plus 2 years experience as Master Machinist III (LG 12)
Physical Demands:
Maximum Lift 50 pounds
Maximum carry 50 pounds
Push/Pull force up to 100 pounds (maneuvering molds)
