The process here is to ensure proper vehicle flow from start to finish with minimal interruption to normal production.Reporting to the PC ALC Manager, the person in this role will support the Production Control objective to Manage operations/functions in ALC.What you'll be doing
Lead coordination meetings with all Manufacturing areas to ensure any abnormal vehicle flow is understood and effective countermeasures are in place to resolve the issues in a timely manner.
Must be able to visualize current conditions and future action plans on a whiteboard or TEAMS, leading groups of 20+ members of management (Manager level to President).
Production Instruction/Manifest issue- identify and resolve any abnormality on any Production-related manifest or specification sheet generated by the ALC Specialist.
What you bring
Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent manufacturing experience greater than 2 years
1 year of cross-functional coordination experience in a fast-paced environment (Perform Mtg Coordination using visual aids)
2 years of professional work experience in a manufacturing environment
Basic TPS fundamentals understanding and practice in problem-solving, standardization, JIT, etc.
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office experience (data analysis with large complex files)
Strong aptitude for grasping complex computer systems
Ability to manage inventory levels of all shops through GALC system analysis and continuous communication with each MFG shop. (computer data analysis skills)
Ability to problem solve and make important productivity decisions quickly. Many times, with minutes of impact to Assembly Shop. (Quick Math/Calculator skills)
Ability to lead coordination meetings with all levels of management to ensure production volumes are met on time. (whiteboard visualization skills)
Well-defined policies and procedures are available along with Managers (90%) and Sr. Managers (10%) availability for some major decisions. Many decisions are based on work experience and available data analysis within the process.
Job requires a full understanding of vehicle flow from start to finish with the need for excellent communication skills with people in positions above your level to President.
Job is very data-driven using multiple computer systems and data sources. Must be able to learn and understand complex computer systems and be able to analyze data concisely and quickly.
Added bonus if you have
G/L or Analyst level experience in a manufacturing environment relative to Toyota
.Vehicle Manufacturing preferred 2 years within a manufacturing shop (Body Weld, Paint, Assembly)
Production Control experience preferred -1+ years within a high-volume production environment.
Mathematical background preferred- Minor or major in Mathematics
Logistics background a plus at an Automobile Plant- 1+ years' experience in either Internal/External Logistics a plus
