We are seeking an experienced PM with a strong background in capital project management to oversee the construction of a new state-of-the-art facility in Chicago. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of our facility, which will serve as a hub for innovation and research in the energy storage sector.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
Manage all aspects of the construction project, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and efficient completion of construction activities.
Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring that all milestones are met according to schedule.
Monitor construction progress and identify potential risks or issues, implementing proactive solutions as needed.
Conduct regular site visits to inspect workmanship, safety, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
Communicate effectively with project team members to provide updates, resolve conflicts, and facilitate decision-making.
Manage project budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness throughout the construction process.
Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for construction activities.
Lead regular meetings with project stakeholders to review progress, address concerns, and make strategic decisions.
Act as the primary point of contact for all construction-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate information as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in the commercial or industrial sector.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
Strong understanding of construction principles, building codes, and regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and foster collaboration.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Proficient in project management software and tools.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in chemical production is preferred
Knowledge of energy storage systems or related technologies is a plus.
