This role combines tactical occupancy management with design sensibility to create transformative, data-driven workplaces that optimize space efficiency and support business objectives across building, campus, or regional levels.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Space OptimizationDevelop and implement comprehensive occupancy plans and move sequencing strategies for designated regional portfoliosLeverage interior design expertise to create space assignments and reallocations that balance functional requirements with aesthetic considerationsConduct scenario planning and space utilization analysis to maximize productivity and workspace efficiencyEnsure planning alignment with corporate guidelines while enforcing space policies, standards, and design protocolsClient Relationship & Program ManagementServe as primary point of contact for enterprise clients' daily operational occupancy requests and strategic planning initiativesFoster critical relationships across multiple stakeholders including Corporate Real Estate, Business Unit leadership, Corporate Finance, Project Management, and Facility Management teamsFacilitate seamless transitions from current operating models to JLL service delivery frameworksParticipate in quarterly business reviews and annual performance evaluation sessionsData Management & AnalyticsManage monthly reporting schedules and deliverables for people and space data, as well as occupancy metricsConduct quarterly occupancy analytics and provide strategic insights for client review and decision-makingProvide data stewardship for people and space-related data, ensuring accuracy and consistency through quality checks and reconciliation processesTrack and report space requests and associated KPIs to measure program effectivenessDesign-Focused Space PlanningApply interior design principles to negotiate space transfers between business units and demonstrate changes in block plan formatConduct building audits in partnership with local onsite teams to verify employee locations, furniture layout, and room configurationsUtilize AutoCAD proficiency to create test-fits, space layouts, and square footage calculations that optimize both function and designRecommend innovative design solutions that accommodate dynamic workforce needs and emerging workplace trendsRequired QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Real Estate, Design, or related fieldMinimum 8+ years of experience in occupancy planning, space management, or facility managementBackground in interior design with demonstrated experience applying design principles to corporate workspace planningProven track record of managing enterprise-level occupancy planning programsExperience in corporate real estate portfolio management preferredTechnical ProficienciesAdvanced proficiency in occupancy planning software and IWMS/CAFM platforms (OpenSpace or similar)Strong AutoCAD skills for block planning, space layout documentation, and design developmentAdvanced Microsoft Excel capabilities (pivot tables, vlookup, complex calculations)Experience with space utilization analysis, reporting, and data management processesKnowledge of office space measurement standards: BOMA, IFMA, or RICSFamiliarity with workplace strategy concepts and space optimization methodologiesDesign CompetenciesUnderstanding of interior design principles, space planning, and furniture layout optimizationKnowledge of workplace design trends and their impact on occupancy planningAbility to balance aesthetic considerations with functional space requirementsExperience with design software and space planning toolsCore Competencies (Aligned with JLL Behaviors)InspireInspire clients to achieve strategic space optimization goals through design-driven insights and recommendationsShow genuine care for client needs and provide exceptional support during transitions and implementationsFoster collaborative relationships across diverse client teams and ensure all stakeholders are engaged in planning processesWin TogetherThink enterprise-wide to solve complex occupancy challenges collaboratively with internal teams and client stakeholdersBuild trust through transparent communication and challenge assumptions
