As part of Detection and Measurement, Sealite is a leading designer and manufacturer of marine aids to navigation (AtoN) equipment. Offering the broadest portfolio of solutions including marine lighting, navigation buoys, marine floats, port entry lighting systems, lighthouse lighting, and monitoring and control systems, we help people transverse the world safely by sea. *1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm**$18.00 - $20.00/hourKey Duties & Responsibilities:This role is responsible for assembling and testing production for the aviation industry with a focus on maintaining the highest quality, safety, and on-time delivery of goods to customers. Responsibilities include: Follow safe work practices and procedures and ensure a "safety first" culture in every task undertaken.
Prepares to complete each assembly work order specifically according to: technical work instructions and specifications CAD drawings and other engineering blueprints wiring diagrams standard operations procedure
proper hand and power tools and PPE Assist engineering with prototype builds Assist engineering with resolving assembly complications Discern the quality of parts and materials used in production Document assemblies by completing production and quality forms Test finished products for proper operation Upon completion of a work order, transfer the product to Quality Control Maintain the tools used to create products Work with Quality Control on the maintenance of calibrated equipment Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace
Minimum Position Requirements: High School diploma Prior electromechanical assembly experience Familiarity with: Wiring harnesses Soldering Drilling AC & DC currents Ability to read and carefully follow instructions Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience in a production environment
