Together, we're working at the pace of change on diagnostic tools that address the world's biggest health challenges, driven by knowing that behind every test there is a patient waiting.Learn about the Danaher Business System which makes everything possible.The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all the manufacturing work cells and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in all the manufacturing and Quality Control laboratories. It will include applying tactical skills in a collaborative environment with cross-functional departments.A successful candidate must be a team player with a friendly can-do attitude. Organized with analytical capabilities and communication skills, independently motivated, a resourceful individual with the ability to prioritize and excel in a fast-paced environment. This position supports all labs and personnel for the Lodi Manufacturing organization with 24x7 operation.This position is part of the Quality Control Team and will be located in Lodi, CA on-site. This is a 12 hours Night Shift Position. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Responsible for the hiring, training, and development of Quality Control personnel.
Supports development of control material Qualification process. Works in conjunction with other departments to develop, qualify, and transfer the Qualification process, as applicable.
Ensures maintenance of QC equipment - qualification, calibration and maintenance.
Participate in investigations for failures during Quality control testing; perform troubleshooting, process development, and improvement activities.
Analyzes complex information from a fact-based standpoint to develop a strategy/plan that is consistent with the evidence collected.
Coached team/others on how to leverage individual differences and strengths in the team to optimize decision-making and develop solutions.
Sets and executes balanced goals for the team that are challenging and aspirational.

The essential requirements of the job include:
High school degree with 8+ years of related experience OR
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of laboratory experience, OR
Master's degree with 3+ years of laboratory experience.
2 years of supervisory experience
Experience with analytical methods, and Microbiology testing.
Manage changing conditions, processes, and approaches, and lead organizations through change effectively.
Track record of measurable, operational improvements to Quality Systems related functions

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience:
Experience in Quality Control Laboratory Operations
Experience in Manufacturing Operations
Experience with molecular diagnostics
