The Framing Automation Shop Foreman is responsible for the Framing Automation Shop located in Spartanburg, SC. Shop operations include cutting, tapping, cleaning, wrapping, and assembling aluminum extrusion. Reports to the Director of Manufacturing and Engineering. Responsibilities:
Manages the daily activities of an operations unit
Plan assembly procedures and direct the work of others.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Train employees on safety policies and procedures
Ensure that safety policies and procedures are enforced
Verify accuracy and quality in accordance with established procedures.
Integrate electronic and pneumatic components for automated machinery, systems and conveyors using small hand held or electronic tools.
Ensure projects are hitting deadlines
Attend project kickoff meetings
Coordinate with engineering and project management when problems arise on the floor, includes sending pictures and requesting drawing modifications
Recommend process improvements where needed
Manage some inventory including cycle counting and ordering consumable items for the shop
Performs a variety of complicated tasks including assembly, kitting, cutting, etc
Provide staffing and scheduling data to management and coordinators upon request
Monitor and enforce quality standards
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Requires a supervisory experience in the field or in a related area
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
Experience with assembly and other production tasks including use of saws and hand tools
Forklift driving experience
