Under general supervision, the Transportation Supervisor coordinates and directs the movement of Delta Employees and business partners from the employee parking area utilizing Commercial Buses.  The position will coordinate with the bus operators for requested pick-up assignments by radio and performs supervisory and administrative activities at transit operating locations. Supervises personnel and ensures that scheduled and special services operate efficiently.  Performs radio dispatching functions to ensure compliance with operating standards and provides supervision to assist staff with problems.

Distinguishing Characteristics
This position will be assigned to the Public Side of the airport inside of ATL Airport to assist the aviation department.
Provides supervision, counselling, and coaching of transit operators to ensure compliance with Rules and Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures, uniform regulation, general appearance, and readiness to work; directly responsible for assigned groups of transit operators, and documents daily activity as required.
Essential Job Functions:

Can lead and coach employees under the personal supervision
Can train and oversee safety skills and procedures
Know how to Author and edit an accident/incident/shift report
Have prior experience working in an AOA Ramp environment, and know the Port Authority rules and regulations.
Able to drive a bus on the AOA Ramp or Public road operations
Be able to give disciplinary action when needed
Use basic computer and basic Microsoft Office Skills for report writing
Utilize exceptional customer service skills
Exhibit exceptional radio professionalism
Able to work any schedule 24 hours a day/7 days a week
Able to work holidays and weekends when needed
