Quad is seeking a Digital Finishing Operator who is responsible for set up and operation of digital finishing equipment (including Stitchliner and near-line book block Perfect Binder).   Quad relies on the Finishing Operator to help ensure that all finished products meet or exceed our customers’ expectations and to help in reducing the cost of errors through consistent work quality. In addition, the individual selected for this role will be expected to lead by example by holding employees accountable to Quad's safety initiatives.

Responsibilities Also Include: - Setup and operate various bindery equipment, which may include cutting, folding, scoring, drilling, stitching, and gluing, in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Follow a production schedule to ensure jobs are being completed in the correct order and on time.
- Observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed. Perform routine adjustments as well as perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned equipment during shift
- Check order documentation, verify accuracy, and communicate order information and additional instructions to support staff to prepare for order production.
 - Establish most efficient manner to run product through assigned machine to produce expected quality and quantity. Make ready for production by setting up machine components to create products in line with customer specifications.
Qualifications   Successful candidates must meet the following essential requirements:   

Have basic computer skills.  All equipment operations are controlled via computer interface, requiring the ability to navigate through multiple computer screens quickly and efficiently.
Have solid organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with little or no supervision.
Have the ability to perform basic math calculations and the ability to read measuring devices.
Have the ability to differentiate between colors and pass a color test is required.
Previous Finishing Operator experience including the ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot bindery equipment is preferred.
Candidates must be able to differentiate between colors and will be required to complete a color test. 
A strong mechanical aptitude is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, including good verbal and written comprehension is required.
Self-motivated, team player, and detail orientated.  
Have the ability to receive and follow instructions and use vision in order to identify defects. 
Have the ability to bend and lift 10-15 pounds continuously, ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally, stand long hours, use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement with or without a reasonable accommodation is necessary.
Perform repetitious tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere with or without a reasonable accommodation is necessary.
Able to work any shift and work overtime as needed.
Preferred experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
