Provide insight to the ins and outs of drafting and designing in a professional environment for United States Submarines

Obtain and maintain a DOD secret clearance.

A week in the life of an Electrical CAD Designer/Drafter I:
Work on United States Nuclear Submarine Non-Propulsion Electronic System (NPES) projects.
Conduct ship checks on Los Angeles Class, SEAWOLF Class, VIRGINIA Class and OHIO Class (SSBN/SSGN) submarines.
Conduct research of submarine construction drawings using the Advanced Technical Information Support (ATIS) System.
Develop 2D shipboard interconnect Cabling Diagrams in accordance with Military Specifications.
Develop Wiring Tables, Elementary Wiring Diagrams, Lists of Material (LOM).
Interpret Government Furnished Information (GFI) to meet design requirements.
AMS1Job Requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
Associate's Degree in Electrical Egineering or Electronic Engineering Technology
Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines:
Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces.
Able to climb vertical ladders (20' - 25') within the submarine.
6 months to One (1) years business experience in:
Creating 2D drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drafting software applicationAutodesk AutoCAD® desired but not required
