What’s a typical day as a Biomedical Equipment Technician? You’ll be:
• Adhering to all environmental, health, and safety SOPs, policies, and procedures.
• Performing preventative maintenance evaluations and troubleshooting electronic failures.
• Utilizing instruments such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and pressure gauges to examine, test, and repair medical devices.
• Interpreting technical information, testing for accuracy, and determining root causes of failures.
• Writing clear and concise technical evaluation summaries.
• Collaborating with a team to achieve process yield results.
• Rotating into repair and test areas as needed.
• Performing inspection duties as required.
• Training employees on an as-needed basis.
• Maintaining documentation and records as required.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess the ability to follow work instructions and work well independently and as part of a team.
• Have basic math skills and proficient computer skills.
• Can effectively determine the root cause of failures and perform basic statistical analysis.
• Are able to lift up to 30lbs on a routine basis and occasionally up to 41lbs.
• Are willing to wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Have the ability to work overtime when needed.
