Extensive experience in technical communications (writing and editing).
Experience working with clients, subject matter experts, and development team members to create learning programs that fit client needs.
MS Office experience required.
Extensive experience working in multimedia tools to include Articulate Storyline and Rise, and Adobe Creative Suite to create e-learning solutions.
Experience with AI platforms and 3D modeling is preferred.
May require knowledge or experience with one or more major technologies such as database design and development, networking, client server applications, security, multimedia, etc.

Strong customer service orientation required.

Summary:
The main function of a Technical Instructional Designer is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files.
Job Responsibilities:
• Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology
• Maintain records and files of work and revisions
• Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science or english, journalism, communications
• 2-4 years experience required
• Experience in in creating documentation for a technical audience
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
• Ability to read some programming code
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Interface with clients, as required, on technical matters and/or project subject matters from project initiation through delivery. Provide program/project schedules and status reports. Create the functional specification, requirements and/or scope that will be used as a tool in making decisions as to how the product, service and/or project will be implemented. Provide technical and/or analytical information to Product Managers, as required. Organize cross functional activities ensuring that the program is completed on schedule and within budget constraints. May manage/oversee project.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $47.81 to $53.12 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
