Job DescriptionJob Summary:This position is responsible for specialized procurement of equipment, materials, services, and Staff Augmentation Personnel to support plant operations. The position requires a sound knowledge of procurement procedures and specific technical knowledge of the commodity or service being procured.Major Duties and Responsibilities: Reviews and evaluates requisitions and purchase data packages for proper authorization Reviews and evaluates Engineering drawings, design specifications, material specifications and quality control specifications Manages supplier relationships in accordance with the terms and conditions of the agreement Knowledge of cost and price analysis techniques and negotiation strategies for various types of contracts, including fixed-price and time and material Performs comparative analysis of quotations to determine the best value offer Collaborates with line organizations in evaluating quo Determines and documents appropriateness and fairness of offer in single-source and no-bid procurements Plans, solicits, awards, and administers subcontracts in accordance with established policies and procedures Obtains, completes, and maintains Vendor Registration database

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Fire years of experience in procurement Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) Q clearance

Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge and experience with ORACLE and SharePoint modules Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communications Working knowledge of government regulatory acquisition requirements (DEAR, FAR) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)
