A Day in the Life at MKS:As a Mechanical Quality Inspection Technician 4 at MKS Instruments, you will work in our fast-paced inspection department. You will be leading the QA inspection team, developing the inspection approach and methods for new products, standardizing and documenting practices, and developing the skills of the inspection team. In this role, you will report to the Sr Manager, Quality Engineering.You Will Make an Impact By:
Develop and document best practice methods for inspection of parts, conduct inspections to mechanical drawings, create quality control plans, and document results.
Coordinate and participate in the activities of the QA inspection team, specifically the mechanical inspection of machined components, weldments, heaters, and assemblies for the semiconductor and vacuum industry.
Plan inspection activities and prepare documentation to support first article inspections.
Collect and dispose of nonconforming materials.
Audit internal processes and product manufacturing for conformance to requirements.
Work closely with engineering and production, provide technical feedback on manufactured products and drawings, and generate Engineering Change Requests to correct drawing issues noted during inspection.
Train others in inspection techniques, develop/ team members' skill levels, and identify opportunities for improvement and work standardization.
Skills You Bring:
6+ years of mechanical inspection experience with a strong understanding of machined and welded components.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings/GD&T and using a wide range of mechanical inspection tools and methods to perform open set-up surface plate inspections.
Experience using CMM (Hexagon and Keyence preferred).
Experience collecting, analyzing, and sharing data.

Compensation and Benefits:Hourly Pay Range: $23.51 - $43.65.
