Structural Welder Job Title: Structural Welder I, II, III A day in the life of a Structural Welder at Ladder Tower:
Use modification and welding (minimum AWS 1G/2G/3G/4G/5G/6G level)
Perform welding operations according to blueprints, company standards and applicable AWS standards to meet third party inspection criteria in accordance with NFPA requirements.
Inspect welds for cracks, burn through and weld spatter.
Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as required.
Grind and clean areas where required.
Stay current in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and basic mechanical adjustments on all equipment as needed.
Follow hazardous waste disposal program and fire prevention procedures.

Required education, skills, and experience to be successful:
Preferred Experience:
Level I - 1-3 years of experience.
Level II - 3-5 years of experience.
Level III - 5+ years of experience.


High school diploma or GED preferred.
Welding Certifications preferred.
Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, as well as weld symbols.
Must process knowledge and experience to set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines.


Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Must be able to pass required welding certification test in the following AWS material sections: D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6, and D9.1.
Must be able to perform an uphill weld.
Successful completion of the drug and background screening.
