Position: CNC Machine Operator 6:00AM-4:30PM Monday through Thursday. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. Astro Machine/AstroNova offers a very competitive benefits package including comprehensive medical, dental, vision, 401K, employee stock purchase plan, life and disability insurance, education assistance, paid time off, paid holidays and more.Position Summary/Objective A CNC Operator, or a Machining Tool Operator, sets up and operates metal-cutting machinery to build tools and parts of various machinery. Their duties include studying blueprints and creating the design, cutting metal and manipulating it to build the project, and performing regular maintenance on their machinery.Duties and Responsibilities
Read and understand blueprint designs.
Set up machinery for production.
Rework metal to create the blueprint design.
Measure and verify all calculations prior to setting up the machinery.
Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
Complete routine maintenance of their machinery
Enter all relevant codes to specify the feed, speed, and cut of any toolpath for a CNC

Required Competencies

Reading for information - Understanding written sentences and ability to extract relevant information from work related documents.
Coordination & Time management - As part of a team, you'll be interacting with other Machine Operators, Quality Assurance Inspectors, Plant leaders and more to accomplish day-to-day work objectives.

Physical Requirements
The ability to stand for long periods of time with the ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds is required.
The ability to stoop, reach and bend is required.

Special Working Conditions / Travel RequirementsThis job operates in a warehouse environment with little dust or grease.
