Identify, analyze, and correct electrical problems and hazards throughout facility;
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other equipment;
Assemble, install, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment;
Notify supervisor of potentially hazardous electrical equipment;
Help repair and maintain machines, parts and equipment including lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, bag houses, dust collectors, blast booths, hoists, and related equipment;
Set-up, identify and order replacement parts, and repair work in accordance with specification guidelines;
Assemble, install, and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment;
Make adjustments to machinery as needed;
Clean and lubricate production machinery as needed;
Assist "A" and "B"-level Maintenance Mechanics and Welders, as needed;
Operate forklift, as needed;
Perform other related duties as assigned;
Regular punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in conformance with company policies is essential to the successful performance of this position; and
Fully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations.

QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES: Any combination equivalent of, but not limited to, the following:Experience/Training/Education:
Minimum of one year electrical experience;
Minimum of one year experience, training and/or education in the repair and maintenance of industrial machinery; and
Considerable experience training and/or education in the repair and maintenance of industrial facilities.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Basic knowledge of electricity;
Ability to read and interpret maintenance, repair and electrical specifications;
Ability to apply high degree of attention and care required to prevent injury to self and others when working with flow of electrical power;
Ability to understand electrical design and electrical engineering; and
Ability to read, follow and draw electrical blue prints;

Basic knowledge of the methods and techniques used in repairing and maintaining production machines;

Ability to clean, lubricate, and maintain production equipment;
Basic knowledge of tools and materials necessary for repair and maintenance of industrial machinery;
Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures;
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools and electrical meters;
Ability to operate a forklift;
Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures; and
Ability to understand and follow work instructions;

Physical Requirements:
Ability to bend reach, lift, move and carry tools and materials weighing no more than 30 pounds; and
Ability to perform essential functions of the job, as definedReasonable accommodations provided upon request.


Special Requirements:
Company certification in the operation of a forklift;
Safety shoes required; and
Soft sole shoes required if/when working on roofs.
