Mammography Technologist

Job Description:Prepares patients for procedures, assumes responsibility for patient needs during procedures. Performs procedures with accuracy and thoroughness in a timely manner, adhering to the protocols outlined in the department's procedure manual upon the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist.Education:AMA Approved School of Radiologic Technology - RequiredCertificate Venipuncture - Required if performing CT or  within 6 months of assuming positionExperience:Additional Experience Requirements:Maintains and acquires CE units as required by the State/National agenciesCertifications/ Licensures:Radiologic Technologist - Certified (CRT) Current California - RequiredCRT Fluoroscopy - California Department of Public Health - Radiologic Health Branch – Required.  For new hires, the technologist must obtain a fluoroscopy permit within 6 months.BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - RequiredRad Techs - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - RequiredCRT Mammography – California Department of Public Health – Radiologic Health Branch - Required if performingMammography - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Preferred if performingWork Shift:08.0 - Per Diem Days No Waive (United States of America)Pay Range:$57.50 - $77.49HourlyOffer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
