Summary:Produces very complex machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment.Job descriptionSet up and operate 3, 4 and 5-Axis CNC Mill machines with an emphasis on 5 Axis machining. Second shift of 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. Shift differential and paid meal break included. **Job Summary
Set up and operate 3, 4, and/or 5 Axis CNC Mill machines with an emphasis on 5 Axis machining.
Completes required work consistent with customer's blueprint and specifications.
Inspects work for conformance to specification.
May operate more than one machine simultaneously.
Completes all paperwork accurately and keeps work area clean. Reports and/or corrects any unsafe conditions immediately and maintains an acceptable safety record.
Maintains a satisfactory attendance and punctuality record.

Qualifications
Minimum of five years successful experience setting up and operating 5-Axis CNC Mill Machines; prior aerospace and/or defense experience strongly preferred.
Extensive knowledge of Mill tooling.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Proficiency with surface plate inspection.
Proficiency with various materials including aluminum, steel and stainless steel.
Strong problem-solving skills and good mathematical skills.
Qualified candidates will have their own tools.
Strong understanding of GD&T.

Competencies: • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.• Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.Education and/or Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent• 5-10 years experience setting up CNC machine tools including 4 and 5 axis capability• Experience editing CNC machine programs and writing basic programsLanguage Skills: • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Mathematical Skills: • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Ability: • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
