Job Functions:Job Functions (Essential)
Process purchasing award summaries and purchasing documents
Assist in the development of Commodity Team strategies that align with Global Purchasing and Logistics Objectives
Develop sourcing lists and monitor supplier performance
Aggressively resolve all pricing, invoicing and contract related issues with the suppliers
Negotiate pricing, terms and annual contracts with suppliers
Analyze supplier cost / pricing information and benchmark the competition
Maintain open communication between internal departments, management, and suppliers
Support cost savings initiatives
Support the implementation of a standardized process approach utilizing digitalization, common forms, measurements, and structure
Forecast annual material, purchasing volumes, annual savings, tooling costs and repair budget
Maintain good housekeeping practices
Adhere to company/professional ethics governing the handling of confidential information and the observation of confidentiality
Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct
Perform special projects as required

Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Materials Management, or Business Finance, and 5 years of procurement, materials management, supplier cost analysis, or supply chain management experience; or 9 years of experience in procurement, materials management, supplier cost analysis, or supply chain management
Experience handling confidential sensitive matters with discretion
Excellent negotiation skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
Excellent working knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures
Excellent financial/cost analysis and problem-solving skills when issues are very complex
Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills
Strong oral, written and presentation communication skills, and the ability to understand the needs of the internal customer
Excellent ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documents
Self-starter with the ability to work independently with little direction
Ability to travel - domestic and international on a limited basis and learn commodity processes at supplier locations
Knowledge of production planning, supply chain and/or materials management processes
Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite

Preferred:
Specific knowledge of Off-Highway Diesel Engine commodities, materials and products
SAP experience
Engineering or technical degree
German language skills
