Job DescriptionNTK Precision Axle Corporation, in Frankfort Indiana, is a global supplier of wheel HUBs and I/C Shafts for both two-wheel and four-wheel drive vehicles. Our parts make their way to 15 different automakers, which translates to one third of the cars and light trucks on the open road, riding on our products NTK also has a newly opened plant in Anderson, Indiana. NTK is a joint partnership between NTN Bearing, which began producing their innovative friction-reducing products in 1918, and currently boasts 68 production facilities worldwide; and Takao Kogyo, which contributes their many years of expertise in precise machining operations of powertrain parts to its 8 production facilities located in Japan, Asia and North America; and Koshuha Neturen, which offers induction heating apparatus-related products, such as induction heat treatment and processing of I/C Shafts and Wheel HUB's. Neturen has operations in Japan, United States and China.NTK takes great pride in our people and precision processes and we were previously named the Clinton County Company of the Year. NTK's some 250 associates have the capacity to produce an average of 1.6 million HUBs and I/C Shafts per month on our state-of-the-art robotically assisted CNC turning and induction heat treat lines.General Job Duties
Track and investigate internal quality issues in both the heat treat and turning departments and coordinate corrective action activities including implementation dates and monitor effectiveness of actions (Daily)
Track and investigate customer complaints organize responses to resolve customer complaints - SCARs
Lead / Facilitate Problem Solving Teams Countermeasure meetings for both internal and customer quality issues.
Coordinate containment of suspect product both internally and at customers' location as needed - Containment data required.
Coordinate sorting of suspect material both internally and at the customers location as needed.
Track, investigate, and report supplier issues and achieve resolution in a timely manner.
Lead all new product and engineering change launch activities - APQP, PPAP
Write detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures, inspection standards.
Issue/create Quality Alerts when necessary.
Travel to Customers as required, both planned and unplanned.
Interact with all internal departments, (production, engineering, production control), as well as suppliers and customers.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or an Engineering related field
Minimum 4 years' experience in Quality.
Experience/knowledge in using Quality Core Tools.
Good communications skills, both oral and written.
Self-motivated to improve Quality - quick to react - team player to support and help get action items completed in a timely manner.
IATF 16949 / ISO 9000 experience preferred.
