This team is responsible for community experiences on popular platforms – including comments, reactions, interactive stickers and posts. Our client’s team is focused on delivering experiences that uphold their mission.
Overall Responsibilities:
A UX Designer partners with teams to concept, test, design, and deliver human-centered user experiences and build products: inclusive, helpful, useful, and trusted. They work closely with UX peers, PMs, and Eng partners to create user-centered experiences that align with user needs and product value. With their expertise and holistic approach, this role helps shape product strategy and tactical design through information architecture, frameworks, storytelling, and delivering pixel-perfect designs aligned to YouTube standards.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

Develop user-centered detailed designs that are aligned to the YouTube design language and specified for Eng development
Work collaboratively and closely with other designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers to define requirements, reach consensus on key decisions, and deliver design work that’s aligned with business goals, technical feasibility, and overall product vision
Work with engineers during feature development to address edge cases and implementation questions

Skill/Experience/Education:
Mandatory:

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years of experience in product design or UX.
Experience designing across multiple platforms, and working with technical/design teams to create user flows, and wireframes, and build user interface mockups and prototypes.
Outstanding portfolio of thoughtfully designed products, demonstrating advanced design skills, including strategic thinking, high-quality deliverables, and processes.

Desired:

Experience working on consumer-focused products.
Outstanding portfolio of thoughtfully designed products, demonstrating advanced design skills, including strategic thinking, high-quality deliverables, and processes.
Natural communicator who can keep teams in the loop, tell compelling stories, and articulate design rationale.
Specialization in interaction design and product thinking, with solid visual design skills and experience playing a role in prototyping and user research.
Experience working within and contributing to design systems, as well as building accessible products.
Self-starter with excellent organizational skills.
Curious, open-minded, and ego-free professional with a growth mindset.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.


The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $73 to $81 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
