JOB SUMMARYUnder minimal supervision, sets up and operates Swiss Style CNC machines to fabricate production parts. Machine operators will work with computer-controlled equipment, make sure their machines are working at full capacity, are stocked with needed materials, well-maintained and perform periodic checks on output. The operator must also be able to perform machine offsets, tooling changes, and in-process inspections as needed on the product being machined. First and Second shifts are available.REPORTING TOTeam Lead, Production Supervisor, and Director of OperationsESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
Reads and interprets blueprints as needed.
Working knowledge of Swiss style CNC machines as well as CNC turning centers. This includes selecting the correct tools for the machines, able to properly set up & calibrate CNC machinery, bar feeders and needed accessories.
Able to operate and supervise multiple CNC machines at the same time.
Properly use dial calipers, all types of micrometers, including depth, blade, ID & OD as well as measuring pitch diameters.
Recognizes, deploys, and properly uses inserts and tooling.
Inspect and record in-process work to ensure that technical, dimensional, and quality standards are met.
Understands and perform tool wear offsets.
Performs daily cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machines.
Utilizes and abides all safety procedures.
Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.

SKILLS and ABILITIES
Able to develop a work plan to efficiently carry out daily machining.
Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written.
Problem solving skills to know why machines are not at peak performance, increase output and fix errors.
Attention to detail and workmanship with precision equipment and product.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required.
Machining Certificate a plus.
Two (2) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of Tsugami Swiss Screw machines a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift 50 pounds with assistance from handling equipment.
Required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
Specific vision and hearing abilities may be required by this job.
