Early Intervention Specialist - Therapeutic
 
HOURLY PAY: $20.20 to 22.84/hour plus mileage reimbursement 
 
Positions start as part-time hours (about 20-25 per week); potential to quickly build up to full-time hours - depending on availability and caseload in certain areas 
 
Coverage area: Hesperia, Apple Valley, Victorville, Adelanto and surrounding areas
 
Raising a child with a developmental disability is a journey that takes knowledge, love, patience, and support. You will be part of a team that provides in-home early intervention specialized services for infants and toddlers and school-age children and youth where they can naturally learn and develop. 

Plan, schedule and provide weekly early educational in-home services OR in school settings* for a caseload of infant/toddlers with disabilities including developmental delays and programs for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.

*This specific area has a school-age program where our Specialists work  in school settings, 1-on-1, with children who have been diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability. Age range in this program would include any age between 4 to 21 years old. 
We also have a position that is working in the home with very young children (ages infant to age 3) who have been diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disabilities and their parents/families. 

Administer and document all program assessments and updates accurately to meet timelines. 
Design, implement, and adapt activities for language, cognitive, fine and gross motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development, for each individual child, utilizing best practices. 
Model effective adult-child interactions and provide written information on parenting, child development, and provide parents with written weekly activities and effective coaching. 
Monitor, document, and share the child’s progress with the family and team.

Qualifications:

High School diploma required - Bachelor’s Degree or come college in Early Childhood education or Human Development is highly desired
One year experience working with infants or young children and their parents/guardians  preferred 
For school-program position: Skills, experience or training in ABA and/or Behavior Management is highly desired 
Valid CA driver’s license in good standing; also must have one year of being a licensed driver (in any US state)
Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance 
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines 
Effective communication skills to manage relationships a compassionate approach and a commitment to quality in everything you do
Flexible availability including some evenings and weekend times as needed (need to be available generally when the parents/guardians are available so could be during the day, in the evening, or on a weekend day)
Willing and able to drive to homes of program participants; working environment is in-home setting with the children and their parents
