Great Growth Opportunity for Marketing Professional
Our client, a global consumer products company, is hiring an Assistant Brand Manager, to assist with management of the new product and product change workflow for the company’s largest brands. The individual will manage the documentation of new product configurations, including writing packaging copy, updating specification records, and reviewing artwork for approval, working closely with retail partners. Additionally, they will assist the brand team with support of the Sales department by providing creative material and product specifications in a timely and flawless fashion. Finally, this person will contribute to the brand team in creating and implementing new marketing strategies including digital marketing opportunities and sponsorships/partnerships, and trade shows
Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting in the management of assigned brands to increase sales, market share and profitability. This is accomplished through:
Implementing business plans to market, promote, and support products;
Creating effective product selling materials for sales force and retail buyers;
Assisting in the analysis of market data and research to understand category, brand and product performance for assigned products and competitors.
Supports marketing strategies for new and existing products that requires ensuring projects are completed on time with full approvals.
Coordinates packaging development and product concepting to support the development program in assigned area of responsibility.
Remains cognizant of trends and developments in field by monitoring competitor activities and products, trade magazines and associations, and feedback from customer
Contributes to brand development opportunities in advertising and partnerships.
Analyzes P&L and market data to support brand programs.
Perform other duties as assigned.

 
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
Knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of marketing
1-3 three years of relevant experience in marketing, sales or general business.
Excellent project management skills – knows how to take a project from idea to execution and partner with cross-functional teams to make things happen.
Entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to take the initiative and drive results in a fluid environment.
Strong analytic skills and the ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
Persists despite set-backs and works to gain acceptance for ideas.
Creates opportunity through resourcefulness and a strong bias for action.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a diverse cross-functional team of professionals, including brand marketing, operations, R&D, sales, and agencies.
Internal Contacts: Immediate supervisor and top management team to obtain necessary approvals and provide project status reports; department personnel to coordinate projects. Technical Development, Marketing Operations and Graphics personnel to ensure projects move to completion.
Knowledge of mass market retailers and recreational sports retailers is beneficial.
Adept with Microsoft and Google office suite software
