Veterinary Advisor

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Veterinary Advisor for a direct-hire (permanent) position with one of industry partners in the greater Des Moines, Iowa area. Role Overview:
As a Veterinary Advisor, you will lead and support clinical site teams with expert veterinary guidance. Your role encompasses experimental design, protocol execution, regulatory compliance, diagnostics, treatment, pathology, and emergency care.

Key Duties:
- Provide leadership and direction to clinical teams, overseeing study procedures, sample collection, and data recording.
- Administer emergency treatments, conduct animal evaluations, and manage herd/colony health.
- Train staff in clinical techniques and maintain up-to-date veterinary knowledge through ongoing education.
- Advise on clinical and animal welfare aspects of study protocols, ensuring compliance with USDA regulations, the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, and AAALAC standards.
- Support R&D and QC efforts, coordinate weekly clinical tasks, and design biosecurity measures. Collaborate on facility design and renovations.

Qualifications:
- Education: DVM degree and a valid U.S. veterinary license.
- Experience: Proficient in clinical field and lab skills, with the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Preferred: Iowa veterinary license, knowledge of USDA regulations, and experience with animal welfare standards. 3+ years in a regulated environment or Animal Health industry, with expertise in pre-clinical and clinical models.
